Rules for this theme

Theme Rules
The photograph must clearly match the theme and show a scientific concept, process, pattern, force, structure, or natural change.
The photo must be taken by the participant. Internet images, screenshots, stock photos, and AI-generated images are not allowed.
Give the photograph a short, meaningful title and explain the science behind it in 50–100 words.

People, visible faces, brand names, logos, advertisements, and watermarks should not appear in the photograph.
Only basic editing, such as cropping, brightness adjustment, and minor colour correction, is allowed. Heavy filters, collages, or adding or removing objects are not permitted.
The original photograph with EXIF data must be submitted. EXIF is the information automatically saved by a camera or mobile phone when a photo is taken, such as the date, time, device or camera model, and sometimes location. It helps verify that the photograph is original. Screenshots, downloaded images, or heavily compressed and forwarded files may lose this information and may not be accepted.
The photograph must be clear, focused, and submitted in good quality.
Participants must follow safety, privacy, and environmental rules. Do not disturb animals, damage nature, or perform unsafe activities.
The explanation must be written in the participant’s own words.
