The spider pictured is a jumping spider from the Salticidae family, potentially a species within the Sassacus or Phintella genus.These small spiders are known for their exceptional vision and iridescent, metallic coloring on their bodies.They are active hunters that do not build webs to catch prey, instead utilizing their agility to stalk and pounce.
Why I Chose It
Whilst on a hike during our trip in Murree, my cousin spotted what she called "a golden ant" and prompted me to take a picture. At the time, it fascinated me a lot and a quick Google photos search taught me that it's actually a jumping spider
