Poor water management causes blocked drains, stagnant water, and flooding in many areas of Lahore. Every monsoon, many roads in Lahore become flooded because drains are blocked with garbage and cannot carry away rainwater. Stagnant water after rainfall creates breeding grounds for mosquitoes, increasing the risk of diseases such as Dengue fever. At least 20 people died in rain-related incidents in Punjab over the last 24 hours, Rescue 1122 said in a statement issued on Monday afternoon.

You are so right. The main issues are plastic bags blocking drains and poor drain design with wrong depth and slope. We need regular cleaning before monsoon + public awareness so people stop throwing garbage in drains.
