Build a 15-Second Machine
Design and build a creative machine using simple household or recycled materials. Your machine should stay in motion for approximately 15 seconds.
Challenge Rules
- Open to ages 10–16
- Individual participation
- Use safe household or recycled materials
- Motors, batteries, electronics, fire, and dangerous materials are not allowed
- The project must be your own original work
What to Submit
- A short video showing the machine in action
- A brief explanation of your idea, materials, and building process
- Clear project photos
Judging Criteria
Projects will be judged on creativity, design, performance, problem-solving, presentation, and documentation.
Safety
Use tools carefully and ask an adult for help when cutting or handling difficult materials.
