About the Workshop

The Applied STEM Educators Workshop 2026 is a one-day, hands-on professional development program designed to help teachers bring activity-based STEM learning into their classrooms.

The workshop will focus on practical teaching strategies, inquiry-based learning, low-cost science activities, robotics, and engineering design challenges. Participants will experience classroom-ready activities that can be adapted for different age groups and school settings.

Workshop Objectives

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the foundations and importance of STEM education.
  • Apply inquiry-based and experiential learning approaches.
  • Integrate hands-on STEM activities into classroom teaching.
  • Experience practical science, robotics, and engineering projects.

Workshop Sessions

Session 1: Foundations of Applied STEM Education

This session will introduce the concept of STEM education, hands-on learning, inquiry-based teaching, and the role of applied STEM in modern classrooms.

Session 2: Interactive Science Activities

Participants will explore low-cost, classroom-ready science activities that promote curiosity, observation, problem-solving, and student engagement.

Session 3: Robotics & Engineering Design Challenge

Conducted by:

Abdul Rauf and Team PSC

Pakistan Science Club

This hands-on session will introduce educational robotics, simple engineering challenges, project building, testing, and classroom implementation ideas.
