What's New on the PSC Volunteer Portal: Verified Portfolios, Careers, New Levels & More

It has been one of our busiest build weeks yet, and the portal has grown in ways that make your contribution more visible, more rewarding, and easier to manage. Here's a guided tour of the headline upgrades and a few smaller ones so you can make the most of them.

The five biggest updates

✅ 1. Verified Volunteer Card & Verified Badge

Your identity as a PSC volunteer just became official. Your Volunteer Card is now an admin-verified ID, complete with a public QR code that anyone can scan to instantly confirm it's genuine. This protects both you and the community from anyone misusing the PSC name.

Once an admin verifies you, a green verified tick appears on your profile and across the portal, and your card becomes available to download and share. It's a small mark with a big meaning: it tells the world you're a recognised, trusted member of the PSC family.

🌐 2. Your own public Verified Portfolio

Every volunteer now has a Verified Portfolio —a public page, managed entirely by you, that brings your work, blogs, projects, and badges together in one professional showcase.

Because it's PSC-verified, it carries real weight: add the link to your CV, your LinkedIn, or a university application, and people can see exactly what you've contributed. You decide what appears and how it's presented, so your portfolio grows with you as you take on more.

🎓 3. Richer learning launchpads and missions

Our Learning Launchpads are now complete across all six teams, and the missions inside them are far more engaging than before. Expect YouTube videos and images to learn from, multiple-choice quizzes with instant feedback, and open-ended short-answer questions that let you reflect in your own words.

A short "read before you start" step and an own-work confirmation keep the experience honest and meaningful — so the skills you earn (and the XP that comes with them) genuinely reflect what you've learned.

🏅 4. New levels and a clear XP Guide

Your journey now follows a cleaner level ladder from Curious Learner all the way up to Innovator plus honorary levels such as Mentor for standout contributors. As your XP grows, you climb, and your level is shown proudly on your profile and card.

Not sure how points work? The new XP Guide lays it out clearly: exactly how you earn XP, what counts, and what it takes to reach the next level.

💼 5. Careers & Internships

We've opened a brand-new Careers & Internships section. Browse the opportunities PSC is offering and apply in a single click  when you're logged in, your details fill in automatically, so applying takes seconds. You can return any time to track your application's status. It's the simplest way yet to turn your volunteering into your next big opportunity.

A few more improvements

We also shipped several smaller upgrades worth knowing about:

  • Request a certificate directly from the portal an admin verifies and issues it, and you download the PDF.
  • Smarter hours tracking: mission and task hours now log automatically when you submit, and university students can request an official hours letter from the same page.
  • Contribution Hub & blog: complete the short writing training and publish your own science articles on the platform.
  • Team WhatsApp groups are now built into the portal, with a verification code so the right people land in the right group.

Take a look

The best way to see it all is to open your dashboard and explore —get verified, set up your portfolio, work through a launchpad, or browse the new Careers section.

As always, your feedback shapes what we build next, so tell us what you love and what we can improve. Thank you for everything you do for Pakistan Science Club. 💚
