1st National Contest for Need-Based Technologies 2026

The Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) invites school, college, and university students from across Pakistan to participate in the 1st National Contest for Need-Based Technologies 2026. The competition aims to promote innovation, creativity, and practical problem-solving by encouraging students to develop projects and technologies that address local and national challenges.

Eligibility

Category I – School & College Students

• Students from Grade 7 to Grade 12 (Secondary/Higher Secondary Level)
• Individual or Group Participation (Maximum 3 students)
• Registration Fee: Rs. 2,000 per individual or group

Category II – University Students

• Students enrolled in BS/MS programs
• Individual or Group Participation (Maximum 3 students)
• Registration Fee: Rs. 5,000 per individual or group

Prize Money

Category I

• 1st Prize: Rs. 200,000
• 2nd Prize: Rs. 150,000
• 3rd Prize: Rs. 100,000

Category II

• 1st Prize: Rs. 500,000
• 2nd Prize: Rs. 300,000
• 3rd Prize: Rs. 100,000

Project Requirements

• Projects must be original, innovative, and practical.
• Participants should prepare a working model or product prototype.
• Projects should address real-world problems and community needs.
