PSC Innovation Lab — Contributor Agreement

1. Purpose

I am voluntarily joining a Pakistan Science Club (PSC) Innovation Lab project to contribute my time, skills, ideas, research, design, documentation, development, testing, or other project-related work.

2. Confidentiality

I understand that during the project I may gain access to:

  • Research findings
  • Internal discussions
  • Project plans
  • Technical documents
  • Designs and prototypes
  • Source code
  • Future product ideas
  • Partner information

I agree not to publicly share, distribute, copy, publish, or disclose confidential project information without written permission from PSC.

3. Intellectual Property (IP)

All work created as part of the project, including but not limited to: research, documents, designs, graphics, illustrations, source code, prototypes, reports, presentations, databases, and content — shall belong to Pakistan Science Club (PSC) unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Contributors may reference their participation in portfolios, resumes, LinkedIn profiles, or personal websites, but may not claim ownership of project assets created for PSC.

4. Portfolio Rights

Contributors may:

  • ✅ Mention participation in the project
  • ✅ List skills learned
  • ✅ Mention their role
  • ✅ Showcase publicly released work

Contributors may not:

  • ❌ Publish confidential materials
  • ❌ Share unreleased designs or source code
  • ❌ Share internal research reports
  • ❌ Share private project discussions

5. Use of Research

Research collected within the project remains part of PSC project records. Contributors may not reuse research for commercial purposes, publish project research elsewhere, or transfer project research to another organization without written approval from PSC.

6. Respect and Conduct

Contributors agree to treat all team members respectfully, follow PSC policies, maintain professional behavior, avoid harassment, discrimination, or misconduct, and work collaboratively. PSC may remove contributors who violate project standards.

7. Data Protection

Contributors agree to protect participant privacy, interview responses, volunteer information, and project files and records. Personal information collected during project activities must not be shared without authorization.

8. Open Source Exception

If PSC decides that specific code, documents, or assets will be released as open source, PSC will clearly identify those materials. Only those designated materials may be publicly shared under the selected license.

9. Leaving the Project

Contributors may leave the project at any time. However:

  • Previously submitted work remains with PSC.
  • Confidentiality obligations continue after leaving.
  • Intellectual property rights remain with PSC.

10. No Employment Relationship

Participation in the project does not create an employment relationship. Unless specifically stated otherwise, participation is voluntary and no salary or employment benefits are guaranteed.

11. Recognition

PSC may acknowledge contributors through certificates, badges, contribution records, public acknowledgements, and portfolio verification — based on actual participation and completed work.

12. Agreement

By joining this project, I confirm that:

  • I have read this agreement.
  • I understand my responsibilities.
  • I agree to follow project rules.
  • I understand confidentiality and intellectual property requirements.
